ORA 03 – overview

ORA 03 is a compact 5-door electric hatchback, produced by Great Wall under the ORA brand since 2021. In China it is sold as Haomao, which means “Good Cat”. It was first supplied to foreign markets under the name Funky Cat, but in January 2024 it was renamed ORA 03. The hatchback was brought to Israel in February 2023, and within six months it entered the top 10 sales leaders. The secret of success is simple: funny retro appearance, rich equipment, quite a decent power reserve and reasonable cost. Small, only 4235 mm long, the electric car does not look “baby”: it has a raised roof and a decent wheelbase. There is a feeling of spaciousness inside, and two adults can comfortably fit in the back. The trunk holds between 228 and 858 litres. The equipment includes a 360-degree camera, 10.25-inch digital instruments and a multimedia screen of the same size, combined into a single panel, voice assistant, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, over-the-air updates, wireless charging, adaptive cruise. control and many electronic assistants. All versions of the ORA 03 have one electric motor on the front axle with an output of 171 hp. Top speed is limited to 160 km/h. The 300 PRO version received an LFP battery with a capacity of 47.8 kW/h with a range of 310 km. The rest are equipped with an NMC battery with a capacity of 63.1 kWh: on the 420 PRO modification, the battery provides a range of 420 km, the sports 420 GT can run up to 400 km.
