Simca 1300/1500 - catalog and technical specifications

The Simca 1300/1500 is a large family car produced from 1963 to 1976. There were two generations. Both models looked somewhat different and were equipped with 1.3- or 1.5-liter engines. The model range initially included only a 4-door sedan. However, in 1964, the manufacturer introduced the Simca 1500 estate. The model had an interesting feature: once you rolled down the rear window it was possible to throw small loads into the car without opening the entire door. The cargo floor of the 1500 GL version, which served as a cover for the spare wheel, could be removed and, thanks to four folding legs, turned into a picnic table. Plus, there were versions with two child seats facing each other in the cargo area. And finally, the 1500 GLA modification was the only one to feature an automatic transmission.
