Manufacturer recall campaigns
Sometimes it happens that a defect in the design or defective parts of a car is discovered only after the sale, when the happy owner is already driving it with all his might. If there are many such cases, a recall campaign is announced. The automaker asks the owner to provide the vehicle for repairs.
Recall campaigns are an established global practice; almost all manufacturers, even leading ones, announce them periodically. Most often, a recall occurs when identified deficiencies significantly affect the quality of the car, create or are capable, even in theory, of creating a safety hazard when using the car. An important difference between a recall campaign and simply free or warranty repairs: defects are corrected free of charge, regardless of the car’s history.
Therefore, one of the most important tasks of the Autoboom project is to check the presence of recall campaigns in the databases of car manufacturers and inform you as part of our car check service by number. The previous owner may have missed the maintenance prescribed by the manufacturer, the warranty has long expired, the car was serviced at an unofficial service - all this does not matter: if the car’s VIN number appears in the recall list, we will find it.
If your car is subject to a recall campaign, but for some reason you have not contacted the dealership to fix these problems, then you may have difficulty passing the next test
We are trying to collect the most complete information not only about current recall campaigns, but also those that were announced earlier, even if the identified shortcomings have already been corrected. We remind you that Autoboom is an information project; we are not responsible for the completeness and accuracy of information collected from official sources.
