Exterior and interior
Similar to the sedans, the 2020/2021 Genesis VG70 has a harmonious, well-balanced and moderately muscular exterior, featuring the same G-Matrix radiator grille, but with an extended chrome trim starting from the protective plate at the bottom of the front bumper to the bottom of the door. These are all important design elements that demonstrate the character of an SUV.
The interior has been designed in accordance with the Beauty of White Space concept. It has a boundless elliptical structure, focused on the maximum comfort of the driver and passengers. As a result, the interior looks huge, light, airy, unpretentious and minimalist, with the usable space being maximized due to the use of the LCD touch panel and the ergonomic arrangement of all components.
Engines
The 2021/2022 Genesis GV70 has two engine options: a 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine producing 304 hp or an optional 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo engine producing 380 hp. Both are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. Four-wheel drive is optional. Drivers have four driving modes to choose from: Eco, Comfort, Sport and Custom. The Sport package includes a fifth mode, Sport Plus.
Equipment
Safety is a priority and is realized through driver assistance systems: Highway Driving Assist II controls the steering wheel when changing lanes; Intelligent Speed Limit Assist controls the vehicle speed based on the set speed limit; Intelligent cruise control, which can, among other things, reduce speed when cornering.
