Due to this, the BMW M5 accelerated to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and it was awarded as the fastest production sedan of those years. Among other differences of the first M5 from the usual BMW 5 are shorter springs and shock absorbers, as well as reinforced brakes.

Second generation

Fourth generation

The fourth generation BMW M5 was produced from 2005 to 2010. The station wagon appeared again in the 4th generation. A total of 19523 sedans and 1025 station wagons were produced. The fourth M5 received a new engine with an increased number of cylinders. It was specially designed for the M5 models. 5-liter 507-horsepower engine accelerated the car to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds, and the maximum speed was 337 km/h. Another innovation is the 7-speed SMG automated manual transmission.

Fifth generation

The fifth generation of BMW M5 was produced from 2011 to 2016. There was no station wagon version in the lineup again, the fifth M5 could only be a sedan. And it got a new engine again! The new engine was a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 developing 560 hp. The fifth BMW M5 was able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds with it.

Sixth generation

The sixth generation of BMW M5 has been produced from 2017 to the present and available as a sedan in Israel. The new BMW M5 Sedan has perfect ergonomics, due to the elongated streamlined body shapes. Aggressive sporty features are combined with speed, comfort and safety.

The 2017 BMW M5 has an aggressive appearance combined with speed, comfort and safety.

The new BMW M5 has significantly increased in size and looks beautiful and defiant, as it actually should be for a top version.
