The third generation Duster is already in development
The new third generation Dacia Duster SUV (in some countries known as Renault) is expected in 2024 or 2025, which was confirmed by the head of the Duster project, Julien Ferry.
The future Dacia Duster will be built on the CMF-B platform, which has already been used for the new Logan, Sandero and Jogger models. Interestingly, the platform allows the use of both traditional internal combustion engines and electric or hybrid systems. So, perhaps we will see an electric Duster.
According to Denis le Vot, CEO of the Dacia-Lada business unit, the new Duster will be produced in six modifications for different markets, which will make the vehicle suitable for operation in different conditions. 4 factories will be responsible for the production of the new SUV.
- For reference: Israeli buyers can purchase the 2017 second generation Dacia Duster. We hope that the new vehicles restyled in August 2021 will arrive soon. The 2020 SUV is equipped with either a 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine with 116 hp or a 1.3-liter turbocharged petrol engine with two boosting options: 130 or 150 hp. The vehicles are equipped only with a 6-speed manual gearbox, all-wheel or front-wheel drive.
