Bugatti Chiron Super Sport unveiled
The ancestor of this car is the prototype, which set a speed record of 490.484 km/h in 2019. This modification differs from the regular Chiron by its 25 cm longer rear end and greater power. The new car is incredibly comfortable, just like other models of this brand. The Chiron Super Sport has an 8-liter W16 engine with four turbines producing 1,600 hp, which is 100 hp more powerful than the ‘regular’ Chiron can offer, and the torque is 1,600 Nm. Such a powerful engine allows the car to accelerate to 200 km/h in 5.8 seconds, and it will take the newcomer 12.1 seconds to develop 300 km/h, which is faster than the base model: 6.1 and 13.1 seconds, respectively. The engine is coupled with a 7-speed dual-clutch robotic gearbox with the adjusted gear ratios. The Super Sport’s top speed is electronically limited to 440 km/h. The car really develops this speed, which was confirmed by the manufacturer’s tests. It is no coincidence that the car is equipped with special tires that can withstand speeds of up to 500 km/h.
The car will go on sale in early 2022. The price of the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport is 3.2 million euros. There is still no official information about the batch size, and different sources indicate numbers ranging from 9 to 60 units.
