The Dacia Logan MCV is an affordable and roomy family estate manufactured since 2006. In 2021, Israeli buyers still have a chance to purchase the second-generation model, which debuted in 2013 and was restyled in 2016. In the fall of 2020, the production of the car was discontinued.

Exterior

The car’s exterior looks calm and humble. The body is 4,494 mm long, 1,733 mm wide, 1,552 high, with a wheelbase of 2,634 mm and the ground clearance of 128 mm. After the restyling in 2016, the car has acquired the redesigned headlights and LED daytime running lights (installed for the first time on the Dacia model). The upgraded Logan MCV features the redesigned front and rear bumpers, as well as a new front grille.

Interior

It is pleasant to see the good quality interior finish inside of the 2016/2017 Dacia Logan MCV. For a low-cost estate, the MCV’s interior looks really decent, even the presence of plastic and fabric upholstery does not spoil it, the build quality is excellent. After the restyling in 2016, the car has acquired a new 4-spoke steering wheel, a glossy center console trim, a media system with an improved interface and resolution. The front panel is simple and conservative. The expensive trim levels feature chrome edging, whereas the initial versions offer a completely plastic panel. The steering column is height adjustable. The driver’s seat is also height adjustable and has an armrest.

The new Dacia Logan MCV is very spacious, and this also applies to the second row of seats, where even a very tall passenger can feel comfortable. The trunk, with a volume of 573 liters, is very convenient in everyday life. Need more space? Fold down the rear seat for a 1,579-liter roof rack, perfect for transporting particularly large items.

Powertrains and chassis

The Israeli version of the Dacia Logan MCV is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine with 95 hp and 224 Nm of torque. This engine also supports a fuel-efficiency mode, which allows reducing the average fuel consumption to 4 liters per 100 km in the combined driving mode. The car comes with a 5-speed manual transmission, featuring the MacPherson strut suspension at the front and an elastic beam at the rear.

Equipment

Israeli market offers only one trim level, which is a top-end version, called Laureate. Its standard list of equipment includes: air conditioning, power windows, heated mirrors, rear parking sensors, cruise control and speed limiter, Media Nav multimedia system with a 7-inch touchscreen, hill start assist, and tire pressure sensors. The 2019/2020 Dacia Logan MCV is equipped with 4 airbags, an ABS system that works in conjunction with the Emergency Braking System (EBA), and Electronic Stability Control (ESC), which is linked to Automatic Slip Regulation (ASR).
