Mercedes C-class AMG is a powerful compact representative sports car, produced since 1994 by Mercedes-Benz. It's based on С-class Mercedes cars. Throughout its timeline, it has been a sedan, an estate, a 3-door hatchback, a coupe (since its third generation), and a cabriolet (since its fourth generation). There are four generations of this sports car in the Israeli market. The latest one is offered in Israel as restyled in 2018 (as of 2020).
First generation
The first generation was produced between 1994 and 2000 and restyled in 1997. Based on the first-generation С-class with W202 body, the first-generation AMG was a 4-door sedan with an engine of 3.6 L and 280 hp. This engine can accelerate the car up to 250 km/h. Charged versions - C 43 AMG (306 hp) and C 55 AMG (345 hp) with V8 engines appeared later.
Second generation
The second generation was produced from 2001 to 2007 and was restyled in 2004. The second generation with the index W203, besides the usual sedan and estate, was offered with a 3-door body - this modification was called Sportcoupe (CL203). The most expensive were the Mercedes C 32 AMG Kompressor with a V6 engine rated at 354 hp and C 55 AMG with a 5.5-L V8 engine, producing 367 hp. In 2003, the first and so far the only diesel-powered C30 CDI (I5) was introduced as an experiment, which was discontinued in 2005.
Third generation
The third generation was produced from 2007 to 2015 and was restyled in 2011. The third-generation AMG C-class with the index W204 borrowed its style from the S-class as well as its powerful V8 engine of 457 hp. Besides the sedan and wagon body, the car was available as a coupe version since 2011. In the same year, the Mercedes-AMG division introduced the most powerful model in the series - the Mercedes AMG C63 Coupe Black Series with an engine with more than 500 hp.

Fourth generation
The fourth generation has been produced from 2014 until now and was restyled in 2018 (as of 2020). The fourth generation with the index W205, besides the sedan, estate, and coupe, also has a convertible body. Both rear and front-wheel drive versions are available. The new Mercedes AMG C-Class has a new body, improved interior and design inspired by the new S-Class. It is based on the new RWD MRA platform. The dynamics, sportiveness, and distinctive body lines help tell the new AMG C-Class from its competitors. Depending on the engine and equipment, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9-4.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 250-290 km/h.
Restyling in 2018
Restyled in 2018, the C-class AMG combines sportiness, innovations, and engineering achievements. As a result, we can see an interesting vehicle that can suit different needs and requirements. The 2019/2020 Mercedes AMG C 43 4MATIC sedan shows a truly sporty design at the front with an AMG-style grille with double bars. Its rear end is just as bold as the front. An embedded diffuser and two round twin exhaust pipes combine with new alloy wheels to exude refined power. The interior also demonstrates refined sportiness and power. The new AMG steering wheel with Touch Control buttons makes it easy to operate the multimedia system. Instead of the classic round dashboard meters, a 12.3-inch digital tool cluster is available on request. This improves the beauty of the car's modern interior.
