Citroen C6 generations

The Citroën C6 is a luxury car produced from 2005 to 2012. The model had to go through a lot of challenges. It replaced the outdated XM sedan, discontinued in 2000, only after a five-year break. It was produced for 7 years. In 2016, the car was revived by the Chinese, who love large sedans. The original French C6 was distinguished by its peculiar style, completely different from conservative competitors such as the BMW 5 Series and the Audi A6. Citroën equipped its offspring with innovative technologies: a head-up display, a lane departure warning system and the company's traditional hydropneumatic suspension. The C6 was the first to receive a 4-star rating from EuroNCAP thanks to a mechanism that raised the hood in a collision with a pedestrian.
