Cupra Terramar – overview
Cupra Terramar is a compact crossover from the Spanish brand Cupra, introduced in September 2024. The new product, named after the race track, shares the MQB Evo platform with the Volkswagen Tiguan and Audi Q3; they have similar technological solutions in the cabin and many intersections in the engine range. But the “Spaniard” has a more impressive appearance, a sporty chassis and a “hot” character. The Terramar is made in the latest Cupra brand style with a sloping hood, slanted headlights and a single strip of rear lighting. The length of the crossover is 4519 mm, the wheelbase is 2681 mm. The virtual instruments (10.25 inches) and the multimedia tablet (12.9 inches) have “sports” graphics. The Spanish crossover was equipped with a sports suspension lowered by 10 mm compared to the “German”; the front wheels have an increased camber angle, which makes handling sharper. The new Cupra Terramar is offered in five modifications, there are mild hybrid and rechargeable plug-in hybrid versions. Drive - front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The top-end Terramar VZ (veloz translated from Spanish as “fast”) received a forced 2-liter engine (265 hp), reinforced Akebono brakes with large front brake discs (375 mm) and 6-piston calipers, as well as a completely switchable system stabilization.
