Dodge Stealth – overview
The Dodge Stealth is a copy of the Mitsubishi 3000GT produced under the Dodge brand for the US market from 1990 to 1996. The semi-finished car was delivered from Japan for final assembly at the Dodge plant in Normal. The Japanese origin was confirmed by the presence of a Mitsubishi Motors inscription on the identification number under the hood. Technically it was the same 3000GT with the same body, engine and suspension, but the Dodge Stealth was an American interpretation of the Japanese coupe, from which it was distinguished by front and rear bumpers, fog lights, side door trims, sills, front lights and taillights, direction indicators, spoiler, roof pillars and original wheels. The all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive 2-seater sports car was equipped with a 3-liter engine with two turbines with a capacity of up to 300 hp.
