Donkervoort D8 GTO – overview

The Donkervoort D8 GTO is an S-segment sports roadster produced by the Dutch automaker Donkervoort since 2013. The entry-level model was developed in cooperation with Audi's quattro division. The car comes with a 2.5-liter 5-cylinder engine, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. A special switch allows you to increase the output from 340 to 400 hp. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h occurs in 3 seconds. This is the first car in the brand’s history with a traction control system (“Only for when it's raining”, according to the manufacturer). There are many various versions: the D8 GTO-JD70 demonstrating impressive longitudinal and lateral acceleration, simple D8 GTO-JD70 BNCE, racing D8 GTO-JD70 R and the most extreme D8 GTO Individual Series. The manufacturer claims that this is the fastest road Donkervoort model. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds.
