Ferrari 296 GTB – overview
The Ferrari 296 GTB is a sports car with a 6-cylinder engine with 818 hp that brought back the legendary six-cylinder era. Despite the fact that Ferrari specifically developed a new engine for the 296 GTB and positions the car as the first real six-cylinder model, the new supercar is actually the heir to the Ferrari Dino racing cars. Back in 1956, those were the first cars to received 6-cylinder engines. In a sense, this was a revolution for Ferrari, as their sports cars were always equipped with 12-cylinder engines.
