Fiat 124 generations

The Fiat 124 is a series of compact family estates, four-seater coupes and two-seat convertibles (124 Sport Spider) produced from 1966 to 1974. In a sense, this light, simple, inexpensive car revolutionized the European market, crowded with pretentious anachronistic models. This achievement was marked by winning the 1967 European Car of the Year. But, more importantly, the model had an incomparable impact on the automotive industry of the USSR, as well as on all post-Soviet countries. The Fiat 124 served as the basis for the VAZ-2101 “Zhiguli” that enjoyed extreme popularity in the USSR.
