Cortina

Ford Cortina generations

The Ford Cortina is a middle-class car produced by the European division of Ford Motor Company from 1962 to 1982 in five generations. The name was given in honor of the Italian ski resort, Cortina d'Ampezzo, the site of the 1956 Winter Olympics. The car was produced in sedan, estate, coupe and even pickup bodies, equipped with different engines and gearboxes. Until 1981, the Cortina was the best-selling car in the UK, slightly losing its positions in 1982 (second place), but holding the title of most popular large family car.
