Hyundai Elantra N – overview
Hyundai Elantra N is the first sedan of the Hyundai N division, debuted in 2021 as part of the seventh generation of the "parent" model. On the outside, the Elantra N features an aggressive body kit, enlarged front air intakes, a spoiler on the trunk lid and a diffuser in the rear bumper. The wheels are 19-inch forged. The mirror housings, spoiler and dual exhaust pipes are made of carbon fiber. The Michelin PS4S tires measuring 245/35 are specially designed for Hyundai N models. The interior features a special N-steering wheel with large buttons for switching driving modes and metal pedal pads. Genuine leather and Alcantara are used for the trim, the ceiling is finished in black. The sports front seats have increased lateral support, electric drive, heating and ventilation. The 10.25-inch virtual instruments have their own original graphics. The media system has been supplemented with an N-section, where you can view on-board telematics data and lap time. The standard N Sound Equalizer acoustics enhance the engine sound in the cabin and allow you to imitate the sound of the racing version from the TCR series. The chassis (McPherson struts at the front and independent suspension at the rear) is 10% stiffer. The anti-roll bars are reinforced, stiffer springs and adaptive shock absorbers with separate control are installed. The ground clearance is reduced. The brake system with more durable pads has been upgraded, the front brakes have 360 mm diameter discs, the rear ones have 315 mm. The R-MDPS electric power steering on the rack has improved feedback from the driver. Under the hood of the Hyundai Elantra N is a 2-liter turbo engine with an output of 280 hp and 392 Nm (290 hp in NGS mode with a DCT transmission). The front-wheel drive is equipped with an electronically controlled limited-slip differential eLSD. There are two versions with different gearboxes to choose from - a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed N DCT robot: the sedan with a manual accelerates to the first 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds, the sedan with a robot and the launch control function turned on accelerates in 5.3-5.4 seconds.
