Designed specifically for the American market, the vehicle had two modifications: FX35 with a 3.5-liter V6 engine with a capacity of 283 hp and FX45 with a 4.5-liter V8 engine (315 or 328 hp). The Infiniti FX35 was equipped with rear-wheel drive as standard, whereas the FX45 was all-wheel drive.
