Mazda 323 Lantis – overview
The Mazda 323 Lantis was sold as the Mazda Familia in Japan. The car was produced from 1977 to 2003 in 3-door coupe, sedan, 5-door hatchback and estate bodies. There was even a 2-seater van. Each version had its own design. The Mazda 323 Lantis was exported to Europe, and it was renamed the GLC for the USA. The Mazda 323 Lantis was very popular, especially with young people, largely due to its unusual sporty design, fuel-efficiency and relatively low cost. According to Auto Build magazine, the model did not have a single dissatisfied car owner, and some drivers still remember it as their first favorite car.
