Mercury Tracer generations

The Mercury Tracer is a compact car, a copy of the Ford Laser and Mazda 323. Production began in Japan and Mexico in 1987. It was offered as 3 and 5-door hatchbacks or estates. The model featured a 1.6-liter engine with 82 hp. The second generation was a copy of the Ford Escort. The final third generation received a completely new body with an aerodynamic design and a 2-liter engine with 110 hp, paired with a manual transmission or 4-speed automatic transmission.
