Nissan X-Trail generations

The Nissan X-Trail is a compact SUV that has been produced since 2000. It is one of the first Nissan SUVs. The Nissan Rogue is its American twin. The first X-Trail used the Nissan FF-S platform, shared with the Almera and Primera passenger cars. The SUV’s design was inspired by the Nissan Patrol SUV. The vehicle was exteremely functional (for example, the rear seats formed a flat floor with the headrests retracted) and quickly gained popularity in many countries. The second generation Nissan X-Trail looked softer and gentler like a true urban SUV.
