Saab 9000 – overview

The Saab 9000 is a luxury car produced in sedan or liftback bodies from 1984 to 1998. It was developed in the wake of the success of the Saab 99 and 900 models with turbocharged engines. The car shared a platform with the Fiat Croma, Lancia Tema and Alfa Romeo 164 and was only offered with gasoline engines. The Saab 9000 was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and SAAB designer, Björn Envall. Approximately half a million cars were sold.
