Toyota GT86 – overview
The Toyota GT86 is a sporty rear-wheel drive coupe that is actually a revived iconic Corolla AE86 loved by drifters. The car featured a 2-liter Subaru boxer engine with a capacity of 200 hp, coupled with 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes manufactured by Toyota. The coupe was produced at one of Subaru’s factories. Excellent handling of the car was ensured by a weight distribution of 53:47, a low center of gravity and excellent aerodynamics. The Toyota GT86 with the manual gearbox accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds, while the version with the automatic transmission did it in 8.2 seconds. In the spring of 2021, the GT86 was replaced by the GR86 model.
