The Toyota Yaris Cross is a compact SUV produced by the Japanese automaker Toyota since 2020. It is based on the popular Yaris hatchback. The new model is built on the lightweight TNGA modular platform, which provides a stronger structure, a lower center of gravity, as well as improved handling and noise isolation. The vehicle is not a crossover version of a hatchback with increased ground clearance. It is an original vehicle that has a completely new body with no common parts with the original model. The stylish Yaris Cross combines all the best qualities of a compact car and an upscale urban SUV. It features a hybrid engine, bold exterior and good cross-country ability. The SUV is manufactured at the same factory in France, involved in producing regular hatchbacks.
