The Kia XCeed joined the range of the South Korean manufacturer in 2019. Its creators call it a crossover, but it's more of an elevated hatchback, built on the popular Kia Ceed platform. Both models share the same wheelbase, but the cross-hatchback is 85 mm longer and 43 mm taller. The dimensions of the Kia XCeed are: 4395 mm in length, 1826 mm in width, with a wheelbase of 2650 mm. The trunk volume is 426 liters. The raised seating improves road visibility compared to the hatchback. Moreover, the crossover is more practical due to its spacious trunk.

The exterior of the Kia Xceed features plastic body elements and silver roof rails. A sporty silhouette, sloping roof, elegant rear lights, stylish radiator grille, and a special rear bumper design make the crossover's appearance unique.

The crossover's interior largely mirrors its hatchback counterpart but offers more interesting features: multimedia with a touchscreen and a fully digital instrument panel. In standard trims, the instrument panel is analog, with either monochrome or color onboard computer displays.

Safety is ensured by an intelligent cruise control with stop and resume function, blind spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, a collision warning system with pedestrian recognition, intelligent parking assist, automatic high beam control, and much more.

The Kia XCeed has independent suspensions. Compared to the regular hatchback, the crossover has a softer ride, making it suitable for light off-roading. Indeed, the XCeed doesn't boast all-wheel drive. However, hydraulic bump stops are installed inside the front shock absorbers. A dynamic damper for the rear cross member minimizes road noise and vibrations. The XCeed's steering mechanism is equipped with settings that ensure quick responses to the driver's actions. There's also the KIA Drive Mode Select system.
