The Volkswagen Golf R is a series of modified models of the popular Volkswagen Golf, produced since 2002. “R” is the label used by Volkswagen to denote a sporty or high performance model. The symbol is placed on the radiator grille, front fenders and trunk. The Golf R differs from the original model with more powerful engines and sporty driving elements.
