BYD Tang – overview
The BYD Tang is a mid-size SUV produced and sold in China. The 4.87-meter long vehicle can have 5 or 7 seats. The expressive design was created under the direction of Wolfgang Egger, former chief designer of Alfa Romeo and Audi. The interior features the swivel display of the media system, which can be oriented both horizontally and vertically. The vehicle is equipped with one of three powertrains. The front-wheel drive version comes with a 2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 205 hp and a 6-speed robotic gearbox. Plus, the SUV can be an all-wheel drive “hybrid” or purely electric car, with one or two electric motors and a driving range of up to 500 km.
