DS 8 in Israel

DS N°8 is a mid-size 5-door business class liftback, introduced in December 2024. Built on the STLA Medium modular platform with a 400-volt electrical system. The eighth model of the premium DS brand, with a length of 4.82 m, has a decent wheelbase of 2.90 m. The design is not only effective, but also verified from an aerodynamic point of view: coefficient Cx = 0.24. The creators designate the body format as an SUV Coupe, but in fact the DS 8 is closer to a liftback with a black plastic body kit around the perimeter. At the front, instead of a radiator grille, there is a panel with dynamic lighting and a brand logo. Inside is a realm of luxury and comfort: an interior like an expensive yacht, an unusual 4-spoke steering wheel, large separate screens for instruments (10.25 inches) and media systems (16 inches), powerful acoustics with 14 speakers. Active suspension and electronically controlled shock absorbers are installed. At the start of sales, only electric versions are offered; later they promise a rechargeable hybrid. The longest-range one can travel 750 km without recharging, the top-end all-wheel drive one reaches the first “hundred” in 5.4 seconds. All electric motors and traction batteries for the DS 8 are supplied by the French companies Emotors and ACC. The crossover will be produced in Italy, at the Fiat plant in Melfi.
