Hyundai IONIQ 6 N – overview
Hyundai Ioniq 6 N is a powerful driver's version of the electric sedan Ioniq 6, debuted in July 2025 at the Festival of Speed in Goodwood, UK. The sports sedan took almost all the technology from the platform hatchback Ioniq 5 N model 2023, from which it also inherited a rich set of electronic special effects. Externally, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N differs from the base sedan in its red and black inserts on the body, aggressive body kit, extended wheel arches, and a different trunk lid with cut-down sections of the rear lights. In addition, the geometry has been completely revised, the roll center has been lowered, and the ground clearance has been reduced. Additional reinforcements have appeared in the body structure. The length has grown by 80 mm — to 4935 mm, the width has increased by 60 mm — to 1940 mm. The aerodynamic drag coefficient Cx is 0.27. The 20-inch wheels are shod with Pirelli P Zero 5 tires. The interior has a plump three-spoke steering wheel and sports front seats with integrated headrests, the screens have different graphics. The equipment includes a rich set of electronic systems: N e-Shift simulates the "jerks and twitches" of an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, N Active Sound + generates the sound of the internal combustion engine, not only in the cabin but also outside, N Drift Optimizer changes the distribution of traction for drifting and activates a torque surge, simulating a sharply released clutch. The front electric motor produces 226 hp, the rear - 383 hp, the total power is 609 hp. In the extreme N Grin Boost mode, peak power can be increased to 650 hp and 770 Nm for 10 seconds. With N Launch Control activated, the electric Ioniq 6 N accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, reaching a maximum speed of 257 km/h. The 84 kWh battery can be pre-warmed and brought to operating temperature before heading out on the race track. The DC charger has a capacity of 350 kW. The front brakes are equipped with 4-piston mechanisms and 400 mm diameter discs, the rear ones - with 360 mm discs. An effective recuperation system allows deceleration to reach 0.6 g. The spring suspension is equipped with adaptive shock absorbers.
