Mercedes E-Class – overview
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a series of business class cars produced by Mercedes-Benz (Germany) since 1984. The letter "E" in the name comes from the German word "Einspritzung", which means "fuel injection". Back in the 1960s, this letter denoted cars that featured an innovative fuel injection system. Next, all the company's vehicles began to use fuel injection and there was no need for special markings. In 1993, Mercedes-Benz assigned all its business class cars to the E-Class, where the letter "E" already stood for "Executivklasse". The first representative of the new E-Class was the 124th Mercedes.
