Mercedes G-Class – overview
The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is a series of full-size SUVs produced since 1979. The G-Class is more often referred to as the G-Wagen or echoes the sound of the German word "Geländewagen" and translates as "off-road vehicle". There are many modifications for civil and government use. The civilian versions comprise convertibles, limousines and armored SUVs. The living legend of the SUV world is made in Austria by Magna Steyr, but sold under the brand name Mercedes-Benz.
