The Volkswagen Beetle is a modern interpretation of the legendary Volkswagen Beetle, produced by Volkswagen from 1997 to 2016. The history of the Beetle began back in 1932. The car changed from generation to generation, but the concept remained the same. The modern Beetle was a small family car that retained the traditional outlines of the canonical Beetle. It was offered as a liftback or convertible. It had a lowered chassis, a wide track, a modern interior with elements of the old Beetle. The car came standard with a 2.5-liter 5-cylinder engine with 170 hp.
