BMW X3 is a compact crossover from the German ‘BMW’ company that has been in production since 2003. Nowadays the Israel market offers third generation BMW X3 SUV models of the 2017 model year.

The 5-door and 5-seat BMW X3 crossover have the following measurements: 4708 mm in length, 1891 mm in width, and 2864 mm in the wheelbase area. The trunk volume is 550 liters. The ride height is 204 mm.

The Israel market offers new X3 vehicles with four-wheel drive and with a gasoline turbine motor of three variants. The xDrive20i motor has a volume of 2 liters and power capacity of 184 hp. It can reach speeds of up to 215 km/h, the average fuel consumption being 7,6 per 100 km. xDrive30i is a 2-liter motor with power capacity of 252 hp, with a maximum speed of 240 km/h, and an average fuel consumption of 7,3 liters per 100 km. xDriveM40i is the most powerful motor of the three of them. With a volume of 3 liters and power capacity of 354 hp, it has a ‘0 to 100 km/h’ time of 4,8 seconds and maximum speed of 250 km/h limited by an automatic system. However, its fuel consumption is now also 9,1 liters per 100 km. Each of the motors is supplemented by an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Trim versions

For the BMW X3 2019/2020 buyers in Israel ‘Exclusive’, ‘Executive’ and ‘Luxury’ trim versions are available. The standard xDrive20i modification is only available for the ‘Executive’ trim version. And the ‘Exclusive’ one is only available in the top-range xDriveM40i modification. Still, all three trim versions are equipped with a moonroof and a panoramic one, as well as decorative lighting in the passenger compartment. All three of them also have six airbags, a rear camera (the ‘Exclusive’ trim version has a 360-degree all-sky camera instead), a traffic condition selection option, front and rear parking sensors with an automatic parking option, and lots of different digital assistants including collision avoidance system, driver fatigue sensors, lane control system, blind area control, downhill, and uphill driving assistance system.

Multimedia can be controlled through a smartphone, with the ‘Exclusive’ trim version also offering a navigation system. 3-zone climate control, a hands-free trunk opening option, a multifunctional steering wheel as well as a start-stop system to reduce fuel consumption – these are some other features adding to the picture of the new BMW X3 2019/2020 crossover.
