Chevrolet Trax. Comfortable crossover for all directions
Chevrolet Trax is a mini-crossover produced by the American company General Motors under the Chevrolet brand since 2013. Available in both front and all-wheel drive versions. Today in the Israeli market, you can buy the first generation of the SUV 5-doors Chevrolet Trax after the 2017 restyling.
First generation
The debut of the Chevrolet Trax crossover, which in some countries was sold under the Tracker name, took place at the Paris Motor Show 2012. The car combined several attractive features: it was relatively inexpensive, small, economical, had good dynamics and trim version.
The first Trax shared a platform with the Chevrolet Aveo and Sonic and had two twin brothers - the Buick Encore and the Opel Mokka. Therefore, the appearance of the 2013 Trax was very similar to the abovesaid models, but it had much of individuality. The first Trax was distinguished by the design of the front end: a different bumper, optics and branded radiator enclosure, as well as more prominent rear fenders. The sills of the arches, the lower part of the doors, the rear bumper were covered with black plastic. And there were roofracks.
In 2017, Chevrolet renewed the Trax compact crossover, which became the company’s best-selling model in the North-American market.
Compared to the Opel Mokka, the Trax received a different bracket with slightly more travel, it has more ground clearance and a higher center of gravity, also because the front seats are set higher than in the Mokka. The Mokka is tougher, focused primarily on European autobahns and more aggressive driving, while the Trax is a comfortable car for all directions.
Restyling in 2017
In 2017, Chevrolet renewed the Trax compact crossover, which became the company’s best-selling model in the North American market. The new Trax received both external and internal design improvements, as well as modern active safety systems. Chevrolet Trax 2019/2020 will delight potential buyers with a new, more stylish body design, a modern interior with high quality materials and an impressive list of modern equipment.
The exterior of the new Chevrolet Trax has acquired a more powerful two-level false radiator grille, a massive bumper, and modern headlight optics. At the rear end, the updated American SUV differs from the pre-reform model with a new bumper, modified fender lamps and larger fog light segments. Inside, the 2020 Chevrolet Trax has a new front panel with simple analog dials, and the center console has a 7-inch touchscreen of the updated MyLink multimedia system, which now supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone interfaces.
