The Citroen C3 Aircross is a compact SUV manufactured by Citroen (France) since June 2017. In 2021, Israeli buyers can purchase the first generation of this stylish French SUV after the 2021 restyling. The new Citroen C3 Aircross is supplied to Israel with a 1.2-liter turbocharged engine with 130 hp, coupled with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Distinctive features
In February 2021, the French manufacturer presented a restyled version of the Citroen C3 Aircross compact SUV. The restyled vehicle featured a redesigned front face, two-story head optics and a new radiator grille. By the way, these components are visually combined with each other and resemble the letter ‘X’ positioned horizontally.
Moreover, the company has expanded the range of 16- and 17-inch alloy wheels available for the model, and added several new shades to the body color palette. The SUV can boast several new interior finishes and more comfortable Advanced Comfort seats, which are installed on the high-end models of the brand. The front panel of the restyled version comprises a 9-inch display of the multimedia system (previously it was 7.0’). At the same time, the infotainment system itself has become compatible with the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay interfaces. Plus, passenger can benefit from wireless charging for their smartphones.
Due to design adjustments, the 2021/2022 Citroen C3 Aircross is now 4,160 mm long (+ 6 mm), although the rest of the model’s dimensions have not changed. The engines are also the same. The new 2021 C3 Aircross continues to be a compact vehicle, featuring an eye-catching and original design typical of new Citroen models and SUVs in general: increased ground clearance, high seating position, front and rear bumper protectors, oversized rims and over fenders.

The SUV is distinguished by the decorative elements of the rear side windows, stylized as ‘blinds’. They can be of different colors and serve not only as a decoration, but also allow you to ‘close’ the interior from direct sunlight, without obstructing visibility and light penetration. The C3 Aicross features a highly modular interior thanks to the folding backrests of the passenger seats. With one simple movement, the vehicle can accommodate items up to 2.40 m long.
According to the manufacturer, the new Citroen C3 Aircross has the most spacious interior in the segment, and the 2.60 m wheelbase gives more space for rear passengers. The trunk compartment volume ranges from 410 to 520 liters with the rear seats pushed forward. It is quite easy to load any items thanks to the wide tailgate and low loading height.
Engines
The restyled SUV is equipped with a 1.2-liter Puretech turbocharged petrol engine, which produces either 110 hp (205 Nm) or 130 hp (230 Nm). There is also a 1.5-liter BlueHDi turbocharged diesel engine, which can generate either 110 hp and 250 Nm or 120 hp and 300 Nm of torque. The base 110-hp engines work in tandem with a 6-speed manual transmission, while the more powerful units have a similar automatic transmission. The vehicle is exclusively front-drive, although the Grip Control system is available for a surcharge. The system has several ‘off-road’ modes of traction control electronics.
