Hyundai i30 N is a sporty version of the Hyundai i30, a compact C-class passenger car from the South Korean car manufacturer, Hyundai Motor, produced since 2017. In 2020, Israeli buyers could buy the 2017 first generation Hyundai i30 N 5-Door Hatchback.

Exterior

Differing from the standard i30, the i30 N boasts massive aero parts, two-forked muffler, a 4 mm lower ground clearance and 18 or 19-inch rims. The N emblem on the radiator grille, on the seats and on the red brake calipers is a discreet indication that the Hyundai i30 N belongs to a select circle of cars that have hot blood in their veins. The 2020 Hyundai i30 N is equipped with an Electronic Sound Generator, a sound system that simulates the aggressive sound of an engine. The soundscape consisting of crackling, claps and roar is superb and does not resemble to a synthetic phonogram.

Interior

The interior of the new Hyundai i30 N has sporty seats with lateral support and a special steering wheel, as well as a multimedia system with a 5- or 8-inch screen, which can display useful information for the driver. Despite their bold driver’s shape, anatomical sporty front seats are infinitely comfortable and are quite suitable for both everyday driving and for long journeys.

Modifications

In Israel, the new i30 N comes with a 2-liter petrol turbo-petrol engine producing 275 hp, which allows the hatchback to accelerate to a speed of 250 km/h, limited by electronics. Acceleration from zero to hundreds occurs in 6.1 seconds. The engine is complemented by a 6-speed manual transmission.

Trim versions

The 2019/2020 Hyundai i30 N Hatchback offers the Standart trim version to its Israeli buyers. This version includes a panoramic roof, interior trimmed with Alcantara, LED headlights and R19 wheels. The basic options of the new hatchback provide at least 6 airbags, central locking, immobilizer, rear view camera, front and rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control and almost a complete set of electronic assistants: ABS and ASR, driving mode selection system, lane control, hill start assist and brake assist, collision avoidance system and driver fatigue sensor, stability control and steering stabilizer systems.

The 2020 Hyundai i30 N is equipped with a multimedia system with the possibility to use Android Auto and Carplay, Bluetooth and USB, suitable for smartphone control, wireless smartphone charging, audio system, power glass windows, 2-zone climate control, heated steering wheel and front seats.
