International commercial Nissan
The Nissan NV200 is a commercial four- or five-door minivan manufactured by Nissan Motor (Japan) since 2009, while its development began in 2007. The car is known as a minivan and a van. In April 2010, the Professional Van and Light Truck named it the ‘Van of 2010’. This model is also marketed under the names Mitsubishi Delica D: 3 and Chevrolet City Express.
On February 1, 2019, Nissan announced its decision to stop producing the NV200. Only the E-NV200 electric model remains. The electric version has become especially popular after the restyling due to a more capacious 40 kW/h battery.
- For reference: The first generation Nissan E-NV200 after the 2017 restyling is officially sold in Israel. After the restyling, the minivan has acquired a new battery, which made it possible to increase the ‘official’ range by 60%, up to 280 km, which is quite acceptable for commercial use. It is available in two versions: Van and Evalia. The first is for commercial transport, the second is for personal use.
Exterior
The Nissan NV200 is in demand both as a 5-door 7-seater minivan and as a van truck with two front seats. The model is 4,400 mm long and 1,695 mm, while its height varies from 1,850 to 2,855 mm. The wheelbase is 2,860 mm, and the ground clearance is 158 mm. There is also a 7-seater passenger ‘luxury’ car with additional options called the EVALIA. When all the rows of seats are folded down (the rear seats fold down on the sides, the middle seats fold forward), the vehicle provides a cargo space of 2,040 mm. The cargo version has hinged rear doors, the passenger version has a solid lifting door, and the cargo-passenger version can have both types of doors, the latter also have sliding rear side windows.
Powertrains
Depending on the market, the new Nissan NV200 can be equipped with five types of engines: 1.5-liter petrol naturally-aspirated engine (for Indonesia), 1.6-liter petrol engine for many countries, 2-liter petrol engine for North America and a 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine with 90 or 110 hp for Europe. The engines can be coupled with 5 or 6-speed manual, 4-speed automatic or continuously variable transmissions. The model is front-wheel drive.
Equipment
The entry-level 2019/2020 Nissan NV200 has a sound system with a CD changer and Bluetooth, central locking, a heating and ventilation system. As befits minivans and vans, the Nissan cab offers many different compartments and pockets. The list of options includes a rear-view camera, power windows, a cooler sound system, etc. The vehicle is equipped with ABS and EBD, emergency braking assistance, front airbags, as well as ESP and side airbags. The hood is made of a special material that absorbs the impact energy as much as possible for the safety of pedestrians in the event of a collision.
