Lexus LX 600. In anticipation of the new flagship SUV in Israel
We are looking forward to seeing the new flagship SUV from Lexus in Israel, the luxurious and large Lexus LX 600. Keep in mind, the ‘600’ index in the SUV’s name does not mean that it will have a 6-liter engine. In fact, the new generation body-on-frame SUV is equipped with a much more modest 3.4-liter engine. However, this does not stop the LX 600 from being the flagship of the Lexus lineup. In fact, the model is a luxury version of the Toyota Land Cruiser 300, which is why it has the same powertrains and body. But on the other hand, it offers more expensive finishing materials and a top-end 4-seater version. Everything taken together, including the increased price, makes the off-road Lexus different from the original Toyota.
The new fourth generation Lexus LX has switched to the GA-F modular platform, become 200 kg lighter, 20% stiffer and received a lower center of gravity. The manufacturer has not changed the axle distance since the introduction of the original model in 1995, the wheelbase is still 2,850 mm. The angles of approach, departure and ramps are the same as those of the third generation SUV.
With signature predatory styling, the Lexus LX 600 inherits Toyota’s 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 engine with 415 hp. The large 5-meter all-wheel drive SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds. The maximum speed is limited to 210 km/h. A 10-speed automatic gearbox distributes power to all wheels through a transfer case with a lowering row. The list of equipment includes a differential lock, shock absorbers with adjustable stiffness and a system that allows you to drive slowly in the off-road conditions.
There are three trim levels for the 2023 Lexus LX 600 in Israel. The entry-level versions offer a 7-seater passenger compartment, power first and second row of seats, 4-zone climate control, a 10-speaker sound system, 20-inch wheels, an electronic security system (adaptive cruise control, automatic braking, lane keeping assist, etc.). The cost will start from 889,900 shekels.
The 4-seater Takumi VIP is a top-end version. The driver and front passenger will receive power seats with heating, massage and ventilation, the Mark Levinson sound system with 25 speakers. The second row of seats is equipped with its own multimedia system, the ottoman seats offer a massage function, and the wheels have a diameter of 22 inches.
