2019 Skoda Kamiq SUV. 1st generation
Skoda Kamiq is a compact front-wheel drive 5-door SUV produced by the Czech automobile maker, Škoda Auto, since 2019. It is currently available on the Israeli market.
Sufficiently comfortable and roomy, but at the same time compact, the 2019 Skoda Kamiq SUV is 4,241 mm long, 1,793 mm wide, and has a wheelbase of 2,651 mm. The trunk of the vehicle provides a volume of 363/1395 liters, plus it has various compartments, hooks, and a removable flashlight.
Distinctive features
The fully LED double-deck headlights and fog lights of the Kamiq are equipped with dynamic turn signals, which first appeared in the model range of the Czech brand. The pointed rear LED-lights are made in the traditional Skoda C-shape. The tail light and dynamic turn signals are integrated into the trunk lid.
The high seating position of the driver provides excellent visibility. The freely programmable virtual surface allows you to customize the combination and appearance of the instruments. The top-end trim of the 2019/2020 Skoda Kamiq offers an option to select a driving mode, including a sports one, with more rigid Sport Chassis Control suspension settings. The seats are comfortable, with a pronounced profile, high soft backs, and microfiber inserts. A multimedia system connected to the Internet and integrated with smartphones and Wi-fi is responsible for entertainment.
The interior of the new Kamiq has numerous compartments for carry-on luggage, folding tables, USB ports, wireless charging for gadgets and everything you need for a comfortable trip. The Simply Clever style solutions, including an umbrella in the driver’s door, also come into the picture.
Modifications
In Israel, the 2020 Skoda Kamiq comes with two turbocharged petrol options. The first 1.0 liter engine with 115 hp is capable of accelerating the SUV to 193 km/h. The second 1.5 liter engine with 150 hp provides a speed of 212 km/h. Their fuel consumption is practically the same and amounts to 5.0-5.1 liters per 100 km.
Trim versions
Israeli buyers have a chance to choose from two trim versions of the 2020/2021 Skoda Kamiq: Ambition and Style. Both of them are well equipped. The Style is distinguished by a slightly wider list of options, a slightly more original design with decorative interior lighting and LED headlights, as well as R 17 wheels. Both trim versions of the new Skoda Kamiq SUV include 9 airbags, front and rear Isofix child seat mounts, tire pressure sensor, central locking, rear camera, rear parking sensors, 2-zone climate control and adaptive cruise control, which controls the speed according to the traffic situation.
Both trims are equipped with a variety of electronic assistants, including: lane control and blind spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, collision avoidance and brake assist plus a hill start assist system. There is also an adaptive lighting system that adjusts the headlights to suit lighting and weather conditions. In addition, the 2021 Skoda Kamiq Style has a driving mode selection system, push button start and keyless access.
