The compact Karoq is 4,382 mm long, 1,841 mm wide, and has a wheelbase of 2,638 mm. Despite its compact size, the SUV looks, perhaps, even more harmonious and proportional than its ‘older brother’ Kodiaq. The 2017/2018 Skoda Karoq is significantly larger than its predecessor Yeti and has one of the largest trunks in its class, varying from 500 liters to 1,630 liters.

Distinctive features

According to the Czechs, the new Karoq is ‘an exemplary model with a remarkable personality. It has inherited all the traditional advantages of the Czech brand and demonstrates the Skoda’s new, emotional identity in the compact SUV segment’.

Designed in accordance with Skoda’s principles, the interior of the Karoq is minimalist and practical, but quite high quality, as almost all elements, including the bottom of the center console and the dashboard, are made of soft plastic, all the details are perfectly matched to each other. The driver’s seat is classic and comfortable. Traditional ‘smart solutions’ and the familiar 10-color LED atmospheric lighting are available.

Modifications

In Israel, the 2019/2020 Skoda Karoq 5-Door SUV comes as a front-wheel drive version, equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine with 150 hp. It allows the SUV to accelerate to 203 km/h. Its average fuel consumption is 5.6 liters per 100 km. It is complemented by a 7-speed semi-automatic transmission.

Trim versions

The following trim versions of the 2020 Skoda Karoq are available for Israeli buyers: Ambition, Style and Premium. The Skoda Karoq Premium is distinguished by a slightly wider set of electronic assistants, electronically-adjustable seats, leather interior, increased comfort level, hands-free trunk door opening system, 18-inch wheels, and last but not least, a sunroof and a panoramic roof.

All trims of the 2019/2020 Skoda Karoq include 9 airbags, front and rear mounts for Isofix child seats, tire pressure sensor, central locking, rear camera, rear parking sensors, 2-zone climate control, tinted windows, adaptive cruise control, multifunctional steering wheel, and electrically folding heated mirrors. Plus, there is a nearly complete set of electronic assistants, including a driver fatigue sensor, lane control, traffic sign recognition system, collision avoidance system and brake assist, as well as hill start assist and hill descent assist.

The Skoda Karoq Style trim differs from the Ambition in roof rails, LED headlights and foglights, adaptive lighting system and 17-inch wheels.
