Distinctive features
The new T-Cross is a typical urban crossover with black plastic trim around the perimeter of the body, ‘passenger’ ground clearance and with only front-wheel drive. This is the smallest and most affordable of all Volkswagen crossovers with the letter " T ‘-Tiguan, Tharu, Tayron, Teramont, Tarek, T-Roc. The T-Cross,’ prepared " from the new Polo of the 6th generation, borrowed from it most of the chassis elements, power units and many interior details. The ground clearance of the crossover was increased with the help of higher-profile tires, original front suspension fists, longer springs and shock absorbers, as well as the transfer of the rear beam mounts down. In total, the ground clearance was brought to a decent 184 millimeters under the front suspension subframe.
The body of the Volkswagen T-Cross 2018/2019 in length and width is almost the same as the Polo, but almost 14 centimeters higher. Thanks to this, there is a huge amount of space above the head, and due to a more vertical fit, the seat is more spacious - the front seats are raised by 67 millimeters compared to the Volkswagen Polo hatchback.
