The new Volkswagen Tiguan is designed for those who are cramped in the city. The crossover received an increased entry angle, smooth ride and sporty style. In the exterior there are new headlights and front bumper sport style with a noticeable intakes, changed grille, updated wheel design, different tail lights and rear bumper. The model name icon is now placed in the center of the luggage compartment door.

In the salon, there are much more innovations. There are new touch buttons on the steering wheel and dashboard, including climate control, which has become better and more advanced. The instrument panel is fully digital. New multimedia system now with voice control function. In the most expensive trim levels, a premium device with stunning sound and advanced functionality is available. Volkswagen Tiguan 2019/2020 is equipped with an innovative safety system Travel Assist, which works almost like an autopilot at speeds below 210 km/h. The system performs the function of cruise control, is able to brake itself to a complete stop and accelerate the car, keep it in the lane and recognize road signs.

Modifications

In Israel, the new Tiguan is available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions. For the 4×2 crossover, a 1.5-liter 150-horsepower gasoline engine is available, accelerating the crossover to 200 km / h and consuming, on average, 5.9 liters per 100 km. For the 4×4 variant, the engine is also gasoline, but a 2-liter engine with a capacity of 190 hp. It develops a speed of 214 km / h and ‘eats’ 7.1 liters per ‘hundred’. Both engines are turbocharged and both are complemented by a 7-speed robotic gearbox.

Configuration options

For Israeli buyers of the Volkswagen Tiguan 2020, two trim levels are available: the Comfortline and the Comfortline Plus. Both include an almost complete set of airbags, except for window airbags, a driver fatigue sensor and a lane control system, a braking assistance system and a collision avoidance system, rear and front parking sensors, an automatic parking system, 3-zone climate control, roof rails, diode headlights, fog lights and an adaptive lighting system.

The new Volkswagen Tiguan crossover in the Comfortline Plus configuration boasts an all-round camera, a driving mode selection system, tinted windows, a leather interior, the ability to open the trunk ‘without hands’ and R18 wheels.
