Maruti Suzuki Eeco. Old-school minivan
The Maruti Suzuki Eeco is a lightweight minivan, one of the leaders in the commercial van segment in India. Its appearance, which came from the 90s, remained practically unchanged throughout the entire production. This is a real old-school minivan. What even more surprising is the fact that no one has been able to compete with it in the Indian market. An important advantage of the Eeco is its capacity despite compact dimensions, but the main thing is the price: the entry-level version cost 4,645 shekels. Even for poor India, this is an excellent offer.

First generation
Released in 2010, the minivan was a slightly modified version of the 2001 Maruti Suzuki Versa, which was an Indian copy of the 1999 Suzuki Carry van. The Maruti Eeco was offered in 5 or 7-seater versions. The 5-seater version offered enough space for luggage in the back, almost 540 liters. In the 24 years that have passed since the start of production, transparent headlight lenses have appeared. In 2022, the vehicle received a new exterior shade, Metallic Brisk Blue.
2022 restyling
What can you change if everything is fine? Apparently, that was exactly what Maruti Suzuki thought. Therefore, the appearance of the 2022 Eeco, except for the new body shade, remained the same. But the cost rose to 6,350 dollars.
The model received a new steering wheel and a tiny digital dashboard. Multimedia and sound systems never appeared. The Maruti Suzuki Eeco comes with a new 1.2-liter gasoline engine with 82 hp, which is 10% more powerful and 25% more fuel-efficient than the previous one. There is a version that runs on compressed natural gas, with a capacity of 71 hp. The gearbox is the same, 5-speed manual gearbox. The model is rear-wheel drive.
