Ferrari 308 GTB/GTS – overview

The Ferrari 308 GTB/GTS is a mid-engine Gran Turismo sports car produced from 1975 to 1985. The Targa version with a removable roof traditionally received the index S, corresponding to the open spider body. The 2-door, 2-seater coupe was one of the most affordable Ferrari models of those years. The design, developed by coachbuilder Pininfarina, featured smooth curves and aggressive lines, resulting in the coupe becoming one of the most recognizable and iconic cars produced by Ferrari. The car was equipped with a steel body with an aluminum front cover. American versions received a bulkier bumper and rectangular reflectors on the wings. The 2.9-liter turbo V8 engine in the coupe produced 255 hp, in the Targa - 240 hp. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The drive is exclusively rear-wheel drive. The Ferrari 308 GTB/GTS accelerated to the first hundred in 7.3 seconds, reaching a maximum speed of 255 km/h.
