Audi RS Q3. Dynamic and practical
Audi RS Q3 is a four-wheel-drive sports car version of the compact Audi Q3 crossover SUV from the German ‘Audi AG’ company of the Volkswagen Group. In production since 2013. Nowadays the Israel market offers second generation Audi RS Q3 crossover SUV models of the 2019 model year.
First generation
First generation Audi RS Q3 vehicles were first introduced in 2013 and were manufactured up until 2016, having undergone some restyling in 2015. The first RS Q3 was the perfect combination of both everyday practicality and highly dynamic characteristics. Developed by the sports car ‘Audi Quattro’ division based on the Audi Q3 model, this first ‘racing’ RS crossover SUV model had both high power capacity and great steerability, as well as a very stylish design. First generation Audi RS Q3 vehicles had 2,5-litre turbine motors with a power capacity of 310 hp and fuel consumption of just 8,8 l/100 km. Their 0-60 time was 5,5 seconds, with a maximum speed of 250 km/h regulated by the automatic system.
Their powerful five-cylinder 2.5 TSFI engine had won several prestigious awards, becoming a three-time winner of the ‘International Engine of the Year’ award among the vehicles of a similar class.
The amazing car performance and great steerability of the first Audi RS Q3 were complemented by the outstanding comfort level of the vehicle, with the sports suspension now being 25 mm lower. For better weight distribution Audi engineers had also placed the car battery into the trunk area of the vehicle.
Second generation
Second generation Audi RS Q3 vehicles were first introduced in 2019 and are still being manufactured to this day. The new RS Q3 model got an even more eye-catching design, serving as a visual representation of its outstanding power capacities. The crossover’s coupe-like roofline gives the vehicle a very expressive shape. Even when just looking at it from the front, you can already get a feel of the power the car has got in store - the bumper of the new RS model with its shiny black grille makes the front quarter of the car look extremely dynamic. From the sides this Audi RS Q3 2019/2020 model looks just as ‘athletic’- thanks to the wheel arches now being 10 mm wider and the shoulder line higher. Among the other eye-catching accents of the new Audi RS Q3 crossover model are bumper diffusers, aerodynamic horizontal ‘blades’ of shiny black, and a roofline spoiler – giving the car an overall more polished look.
And as for the legendary five-cylinder TSFI engine of 2,5 liters and 400 hp, it will turn any ride – however short it may be – into an exciting journey. The maximum speed of the new RS Q3 vehicle is limited by 250 km/h, its 0-60 time being 4,5 seconds.

The new Audi RS Q3 2020 is a fantastic car not only in terms of its technical characteristics but also in terms of its versatility as well as the spaciousness of its interior - the latter improving the range of the car’s capabilities even further. Its passenger compartment can now fit 5 adults, with a possibility of moving the back seat 150 mm both back and forth (available for the vehicles even in the ‘Base’ grade range) and a seven-stage adjustment system for the seatbacks.
