2020 BMW 4 Series Coupe. 2nd generation

Distinctive features of the 2020 coupe
The new 2020 BMW 4 Series coupe now has an even more athletic exterior that features a harmonious combination of smooth lines and precisely defined side panels. The keywords to describe this car are sports style, dynamics and aesthetics.
The 4 Series 2-door coupe is based on the new 3 Series sedan. Here is just a small list of improvements made to the second generation BMW 4 Series: lower height, lowered center of gravity, wider rear track, increased rigidity of the body in the area of the engine shield and the mounting points of the suspension, 0.8 degrees larger negative camber. The car features the modified springs and shock absorbers, steering and brakes.
Improved body design has noticeably increased aerodynamic efficiency: the windshield coefficient has decreased from the previous 0.29 to 0.25. The front face features a giant radiator grille in compliance with Concept 4. The BMW G22 coupe is distinguished by its XXL nostrils. Almost every part of the body has changed: the wind and rear windows of the coupe have become more tilted compared to the 3 Series. The stern looks completely different. In addition to this, the Series models have become lighter thanks to the use of high-strength steels and aluminum.
Even the standard trim level of the 4 Series feature new sports seats and steering wheel. There are numerous customization options. The list of basic equipment includes a 5.1-inch color screen between devices and an 8.8-inch multimedia system touchscreen. As an option, a driver’s interface comes with the 7.0 operating system. It is controlled by the buttons on the steering wheel or with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, or the IDRIVE controller. Now there is a voice assistant, which is activated by “Hello, BMW!” or “Ok, BMW!” commands. It is paired with a 12.3-inch digital dashboard.
Modifications
The new BMW 4 Series comes to Israel in three modifications with rear and all-wheel drive. The models are equipped with turbocharged petrol engines, all of which are standardly equipped with an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission.
Modifications:
- 420i: 2-liter engine with 184 hp and 305 Nm; acceleration to 100 km/h - 7.5 seconds; top speed - 240 km/h; rear-wheel drive.
- 430i: 2-liter engine with 258 hp and 408 Nm; acceleration to 100 km/h – 5.8 seconds; top speed - 250 km/h; rear-wheel drive.
- M440i xDrive: 3-liter engine with 374 hp and 510 Nm; acceleration to 100 km/h – 4.5 seconds; top speed - 250 km/h; all-wheel drive.
Trim levels
The list of basic options of the 2020/2021 BMW 4 Series comprises: six airbags, rear camera or all-round camera, front and rear parking sensors with automatic parking system, adaptive cruise control, electronic stability control, anti-lock and anti-slip braking system, emergency brake assist, blind spot monitoring system, pedestrian detection system, driver fatigue sensor. The top-end versions offer a driving mode selection system and rear traffic alert.
All models designed for the Israeli market are equipped with a sunroof and toned windows, leather interior, digital dashboard, CarPlay voice-controlled multimedia system, navigation system, Hi-Fi audio with 10 speakers, 3-zone climate control, and diode headlights. The top-end M-Superior trim level can boast adaptive laser headlights.
