BMW M3 CS super sedan and other novelties from BMW
In January 2023, BMW introduced its new super sedan, the BMW M3 CS, based on the M3 Competition xDrive all-wheel drive model. This is a full-fledged 5-seater car for everyday driving, offering a power of 550 hp. The new CS version of the BMW M3 will be launched in March. The price will be 146,000 euros, which is about 1.5 times higher than the cost of a regular M3. But that’s not all: there are other innovations from BMW. The 4 Series coupes and convertibles have received a new interior and an improved multimedia system. The updated models are expected to go on sale starting in March 2023.
In Israel, the new BMW M3 is represented by the sixth generation of the 2020 model year. The M3 Competition sedan is equipped with a 3.0-liter turbo engine with 510 hp, paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and rear-wheel drive. It takes the car 3.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, while the maximum speed is limited at around 250 km/h. This model costs about 764,815 shekels (as of the end of 2022).
BMW M3 CS: more powerful, lighter, faster
The top-end version of the 2023 BMW M3 CS features a red grille edging and yellow running lights. Due to the use of a titanium exhaust system, as well as almost weightless carbon fiber body parts (roof, hood, mirrors, air intakes, spoiler, diffuser and splitter), the car has ‘lost weight’ a little and now weighs 1,765 kg. To maintain comfort, the carbon-fiber front seats have kept their electric drive or heating.

The car is equipped with a 3.0-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 550 hp and a torque of 650 Nm. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. The rear axle has an active differential, a sign of the M-Series. The BMW M3 CS sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, accelerating to a maximum of 302 km/h, since the restriction is disabled. The suspension has been improved: the steering has been reconfigured, adaptive dampers, other springs and stabilizers tuned for track driving have been installed. By the way, the car has received a drift mode: when the front-wheel drive and the stabilization system are turned off, you can have fun on the track. Options include forged wheels, track tires and carbon-ceramic brakes.
BMW 4 Series: new interior
The entire 2023 BMW 4 Series will now feature a new interior, shared with the restyled BMW 3 Series and BMW i4 electric sedan. By the way, the new entry-level 2023 BMW i4 eDrive35 is already offered in Israel at a price of 359,900 shekels, which makes it the cheapest model in the entire i4 model range. The updated 4 Series features the dashboard (12.3-inch) and media system (14.9-inch) displays united together. The latter now includes climate control. The famous iDrive system has got navigation and has become ‘smarter’ in the field of Internet connections. The automatic gearbox joystick has been replaced by a new miniature selector, which is duplicated by paddle shifters. And only the BMW M4 has saved its joystick and even a manual gearbox (in some countries). And BMW is planning a real restyling of the entire 4 Series!
In Israel, the BMW 4 Series is represented by the second generation of the 2020 model year. Convertibles are equipped with a 3.0-liter turbo engine with 374 hp and all-wheel drive. The coupe can be purchased in several versions: rear-wheel drive with a 2.0-liter engine (184 or 258 hp) or all-wheel drive with a 3.0-liter engine with 374 hp.
