The Nissan 370Z is a two-door two-seater car with a classic layout (front-engined, rear-drive), which has been produced by Nissan (Japan) since 2009. Currently, Israeli buyers have a chance to purchase the 2012 restyled car tuned by Nismo, the sports division of Nissan (as of 2021).

Distinctive features

The NISMO cars are distinguished by their exterior: they are equipped with different front and rear bumpers with aerodynamic body kits on the bottom and a spoiler, which increases downforce at high speeds. Wheels are black 19-inch Rays. The interior features lightweight Recaro sports seats, aluminum pedals and red stitching on the steering wheel and dashboard.

The 2012/2013 Nissan 370Z Nismo is equipped with a 344 hp engine, a stiffer sports suspension, as well as a braking system with improved characteristics and a special exhaust system. The Israeli versions have a 6-speed manual transmission, although a 7-speed automatic transmission has been available for the Nismo models since 2015. After the 2017 micromodernization, the cars with a manual gearbox have acquired an enhanced Exedy clutch. Thus, the car can boast of a lighter clutch pedal and softer disc closure, which makes the gear shifting more comfortable.

Engines and chassis

The Nissan 370Z has only one engine, from which it has gotten its digital index. It is a VQ V-shaped petrol naturally aspirated six-cylinder engine with a variable valve timing system and a valve lift system. This engine produces 344 hp at 7,400 rpm. The coupe equipped with a manual transmission accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, and its maximum speed reaches 250 km/h. It consumes 15.4 liters per 100 km in the city and 7.8 liters on a suburban highway.

The coupe is equipped with a completely independent suspension, ensuring a decent steering response: there is a double wishbone suspension with an anti-roll bar at the front and a multi-link suspension at the rear.

Equipment

Modern cars have all the necessary electronics to make driving safe:

  • Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC)
  • Traction Control System (TCS)
  • Emergency Brake Assist (EBA)
  • Antilock Brake System (ABS)
  • Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD)
  • Intersection Collision Avoidance System
  • Traffic-sign recognition

Safety is also ensured by 6 airbags, protective bars in the doors and TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System). The car can boast of a NissanConnect multimedia system with a 7-inch display, DVD-player, navigation and a rear-view camera. Cool sound is provided by the BOSE audio system with 8 speakers. Other options include climate control, cruise control, and the Alcantara-finished steering wheel, gear lever and some interior elements.
