Kia Stonic is a subcompact front-wheel drive SUV from the South Korean company, Kia Motors, produced since 2017. In 2020, the 2017 first generation Kia Stonic 5-Door SUV was offered on the Israeli market.

The 2018/2019 Kia Stonic 5-Door 5-Seater SUV is compact in size: 4,140 mm long, 1,760 mm wide, and a wheelbase of 2,580 mm. The trunk volume reaches 332 liters. Despite its compact size, the interior is very spacious. The 2017/2018 Kia Stonic SUV is distinguished by its impressive spacious head, arm and leg area.

Exterior

The exterior of the 2018/2019 Kia Stonic is targeted at people aged 20-30 years. It is distinguished by large wheel arches and body kits, characteristic headlights, LED flashlights. The two-colored bodywork versions are available, including bright warm colors. At the same time, the Stonic is instantly recognizable as a Kia model thanks to its signature ‘tiger nose’ grille and other characteristic elements of the exterior.

Modifications

In Israel, the new Stonic is available with two petrol engines to choose from: a 1-liter 120 hp turbo engine capable of accelerating the SUV to 185 km/h, and a 1.4-liter 100 hp engine developing no more than 172 km/h. Both of them are complemented by a 6-speed manual transmission. The average consumption of the first engine reaches 5.2 liters per 100 km, while the second engine consumes 6.4 liters.

Trim versions

The 2019/2020 Kia Stonic offers its Israeli buyers several SUV trims. The LX, EX or Premium versions are available for the 120 hp engine modification; the LX and Urban versions are available for the 100 hp engine modification. All models are equipped with roof rails. The EX and Premium models have a two-colored body, LED headlights and an extended list of options.

All trim versions of the 2020 Kia Stonic have at least 6 airbags, central locking, immobilizer, rear camera, rear parking sensors, cruise control, lane control, ABS and ASR, driver fatigue sensor, hill start assist, brake assist, anti-collision and stabilization system.

The basic options of the new 2020/2021 Kia Stonic SUV include, among other things, a multimedia system suitable for Bluetooth and USB, audio system, leather steering wheel and gearshift lever, power windows, heated side mirrors, power steering and power steering, 2-zone climate control, and multifunction steering wheel.
