2019 Mazda CX-30 SUV. 1st generation
Mazda CX-30 is a compact 5-door SUV produced by the Japanese automaker, Mazda, since 2019. Built on the Mazda CX-3 latest generation platform, the new SUV is slightly shorter, specifically for driving in city traffic. It is 4,395 mm long and 1,795 mm wide. At the same time, the trunk has quite decent volume of 430 liters, and with the rear seats folded down, it can reach 1,406 liters. The Mazda CX-30 5-Door SUV can be either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
Exterior and interior
The 2019/2020 Mazda CX-30 is a real city SUV, a masterpiece of modern design. Made in a Japanese minimalist style, it has flawless flowing body lines, a sophisticated interior and innovative technologies inside. A black plastic body kit makes it look sporty. The interior is light and fairly spacious, with clean and beautiful surfaces and high quality finishes. The Japanese ‘less is more’ design philosophy can be seen in every detail. The Japanese concept of Yohaku, the beauty of empty space, makes the new Mazda CX-30 more expressive, both inside and out.
Modifications
In the Israeli market, the 2019/2020 Mazda CX-30 comes as a front-wheel drive vehicle only. There are two variations of SKYACTIV-G petrol engines: a 2-liter 165 hp engine and a 2.5-liter 195 hp engine. The first engine accelerates the SUV to 196 km/h, and the second one provides a speed of 204 km/h. Both of them are equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Trim versions
Israeli buyers can choose from three trim versions of the 2020/2021 Mazda CX-30: Comfort, Executive and Premium. The safety in all the trims is not only ensured by a standard set of side front and rear driver and passenger airbags, but also by an additional driver’s knee airbag. The trim versions also provide a tire pressure sensor, a system for attaching child front and back seats, ABS and ASR, a brake assist system (BAS, EBD, EBA), a collision avoidance system, an electronic stability program (ESP), and a vehicle stability management system (VSM).
A variety of intelligent driver assistance systems are available: driver fatigue sensor, lane control and blind spot monitoring systems, traffic sign recognition, rear parking sensors and adaptive cruise control, electric folding mirrors, and a multifunctional steering wheel. Tinted windows and 2-zone climate control are also included in all the trim versions, as well as an anti-theft system with central locking and immobilizer, as well as R18 wheels.
The Mazda CX-30 Premium boasts a sunroof, extended seat adjustments, front and rear parking sensors, a leather interior, a hands-free trunk opening system, a head-up display, paddle shifters, and LED headlights with automatic corrector.
